  Our Society is a non-political non-profit making self help group. And a Member of the Federation of Family History Societies.

  Join the Romany & Traveller Family History Society, and you'll join forces with a group of keen family historians

  with a special interest in their British Gypsy and Traveller roots.

  The Romany and Traveller Family History Society was founded in 1994 for the descendants of Gypsies, travelling showmen and other travellers, and now has over 600 members.

  Membership brings you:

 

  A quarterly journal full of research tips, family history, social history features, and Gypsy anecdotes.

  The chance to access and contribute to national Gypsy indexes run by members.

  The opportunity to meet your fellow researchers and swap notes at annual conferences and open days.



 

  Editor and Founder member, Janet Keet-Black , has been Secretary of the RTFHS since its birth, and the

  Journal is now the oldest running Romany Traveller Family history journal and Society,all the member's contribute stories

  and Picture's and the committee members all work hard on behalf of its members.
