  9. I really appreciate this website. I am a librarian at the Dayton Metro Library in Dayton, Ohio. I am trying to document the Owen and Harriet Stanley Family that arrived in the U.S. in 1856, settled in Troy, Ohio and then bought 55 acres of land for a farm a few miles south near Dayton, Ohio. The 1875 Atlas of Montgomery County lists the Stanley farm along with a Jeffrey farm of 111 acres just north of the Stanley farm.

I have researched the deeds for the farm and burials in the Stanley plot at Woodland Cemetery and will be glad to share that info and other info I have gathered with anyone using this website. Would particularly like to connect with Stanley family members who are related to English immigrants Owen and Harriet, their son Levi and wife Matilda, grandson Levi "Sugar", etc. The Stanley family history is of great interest to local Dayton historians and the general public. Any Stanley photos and further history much appreciated.

  18. I have been searching for info about my husbands family. Our daughter is doing research about her ancesters and we have hit some dead ends, so to speak. I found your site and learned more in one night than I had in years. I saw a picture of Bill Stanley, one of the American Stanley's and the resemblance to my husband is uncanny. I was wondering if you know of any info about the families of Fall River, Massachusetts USA. I would appreciate any info to help in my search. The only living relatives that we know, are hesitant to talk openly about the past. Thanks for any info. Carla Stanley
